Some of the teachings offered and what to expect:

Tershula Kriya - Thunderbolt of Shiva meditation

Tershula Kriya is a self healing meditation. The name refers to the three-pronged trident carried by the Mahan (“greatest”) yogi, Shiva. The trident means he triumphed over the three minds and the qualities and forces that create one’s experience of the world. The three minds are the negative, positive and neutral.

In the modern clinical sense, the meditation coordinates and harmonizes the autonomic nervous systems – the parasympathetic (rest and repose activities), sympathetic (fight and flight activities) and enteric (digestive and bowel activities). Given the pressures of modern life, the vast majority of people today dwell in the sympathetic realm resulting in the overuse and eventual “burn out” of the adrenals. Therefore, the proper balancing and harmonizing of the three systems is paramount to maintaining health and wellbeing.

In the psycho-emotional realm, this powerful meditation empowers the practitioner to surpass the boundaries and limitations of the mind and its fabricated constructs, particularly in the areas of psychological disorders and personality imbalances. Additional to enabling dominion over the three minds, this meditation allows the practitioner to surpass their forces in order to heal at a distance, through touch, and through projection.

Sodarshan Chakra Kriya - Indestructible Wheel of Vishnu

This powerful meditation has considerable transformational powers to purify the mind by cutting through and cleansing the mind’s mental “garbage”. Tragedies of life occur when the subconscious releases garbage into the conscious mind. This Kriya cleanses the subconscious mind to rebuild and retrain one’s personal identity, giving the individual a new perspective on the Self. According to the tantra shastras, it can purify past karma and the subconscious impulses that may block an individual from fulfilling his/her desired destiny.

Of the 20 types of yoga, including Kundalini yoga, this is the highest kriya. As a powerful meditation for prosperity, it endows the practitioner with a new start. It cuts through the darkness and barriers of a neurotic or psychotic nature. When an individual is in a dire state, the techniques imposed by the outside world are inadequate. Therefore, the techniques must emanate from within.

This meditation balances the Teacher aspect of the mind. It acts on all other aspects like a mirror to reveal their true nature, and provides corrective tools. The Teacher uses intuition to ascertain the real from diversion. And the practitioner responds from the Neutral Mind, beyond the positives and negatives, to gain clarity and purpose.

There are no constraints of time, place, space nor restrictions attached to this meditation. Each garbage pit has its own time frame to clear. One can estimate and cleanse as fast as one can, or as slowly as one desires. At a certain level of practice, the practitioner can attain Nao nidhi, athara sidhi, which are the 9 precious virtues and 18 occult powers. Within these 27 virtues of the world lay the entire Universe, bringing together all 27 facets of life to make people lucid, saintly, and potent.

Qi Gong

Wu Dang Temple Qi Gong - Level One

This level opens the 12 Main Meridians, the Conception Vessel (Ren) and the Governing Vessel (Du). The latter two vessels are the storehouses for the body's Yin and Yang Qi, respectively.

This Qi Gong is the foundation for other Wu Dang Qi Gong practices. It increases energy, calms the mind, rids the body of toxins and stress, and opens the channels for more advanced practices. It also harmonizes the individual with nature. When performed outdoors it will greatly deepen one's connections with the natural world, including the animal kingdom, as well as with the earthly realm.

Wu Dang Temple Qi Gong - Level Two

In this Qi Gong the student learns to project Qi from the hands. This Qi Gong will delve deeper into the practice of reverse breathing and the subtleties of microcosmic orbit. It is highly meditative and powerful in building the amount of Qi the body will be capable of retaining.

Wu Dang Opening the Heavenly Eye

This is an advanced practice to open the Third Eye. When the third eye opens, one can develop the clarity and insight to see beyond the physical world and attain greater understanding of the mechanisms of existence to see the unseen and know the unknown.

Yi Jin Jing – Muscle/Tendon Strengthening and Bone Marrow Washing

Muscle/Tendon Strengthening and Bone Marrow Washing, is one of the most venerated forms of Qi Gong. Created by Ta Mo Bodhidharma, founder of Zen (Japanese) or Chuan (Chinese) Buddhism, its purpose is to make the body strong so that the weak becomes strong and the strong becomes stronger. In addition to strengthening the muscles and tendons, this intense form also promotes flexibility, speed, stamina, balance and coordination.

"…considered the most effective way to gain health and longevity. In addition, it has also been used by Buddhist and Taoist monks as an aid in achieving the goal of Buddhahood or Enlightenment." - Dr Yang Jwing-Ming

This tradition has many clinical applications. It can treat chronic back pain; headaches; clear the brain of fogginess from drug use and/or chronic marijuana use; clears emotional blocks and works through mental issues. It also leaves the person with a strong grounded feeling as it is a very grounding Qi Gong.

Yi Jin Jing opens the 12 Main Meridians plus the Ren Mai and Du Mai. The Ren Mai (yin vessel) and Du Mai (yang vessel) are reservoirs of Yin and Yang Qi, respectively. When the Ren and Du are filled with Qi, Qi will overflow into the 6 yin organ and the 6 yang organ meridians.

In many martial arts systems, Ji Jin Jing is an integral part of Iron Shirt training. Iron Shirt is the ability of the body to become like iron: impervious to impact and harm.
